Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between King Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and shami Medina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Medina has chosen man on fire as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, King Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, shami Medina!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Medina counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Medina.
Medina throwing strikes but missing.

Khan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Khan is pulling down on Medina's head to control his posture.
Khan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Khan working for a triangle but Medina defends it easily.
Medina trying to control the position from guard on top but Khan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Medina sitting in guard here, content to control.

Khan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Medina stopping the sweep attempt from Khan.

OK we're going to have a standup here. shami Medina hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Khan drives through with a takedown into Medina's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Medina keeping moving, preventing Khan from controlling successfully.

Medina is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Khan looking to pass the guard.
Khan trying to control the position from guard on top but Medina is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Medina tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Khan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Khan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Medina is trying to keep Khan in close.
Medina keeping moving, preventing Khan from controlling successfully.
Khan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Medina gets a takedown into half guard.
Medina looks gassed!
It looks like Medina is going to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khan is trying to control but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Khan preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. King Khan wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Khan misses with a takedown attempt

and Medina counters with a takedown into side control.

Medina looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Medina is looking to take a break and control but Khan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Khan manages to get back to half guard.
Medina thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Khan's head.
Khan wants to control but Medina is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Khan shoots in but no luck this time.

Medina feints and as Khan raises his hands in defense, Medina changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Medina trying to control but Khan is working from the bottom.

Khan has his foot on Medina's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Medina works his way back into a safe position though.

Khan has his feet on Medina's thighs here. He's pushed Medina off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Medina screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
