Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brad Ronald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Stone! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone looks to land a right hand but Ronald moved out of range. Ronald will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Stone jabbing away but nothing is landing. Stone decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ronald pushes Stone off looking to stand but Stone dives back in and keeps control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stone throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Stone throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone is just content to waste time from the top position. Ronald takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Stone throwing strikes but missing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ronald utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Stone advances position into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stone controls the position. Stone lands an elbow. Stone fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ronald tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ronald is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stone working the head and body with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ronald takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Stone in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Ronald taking punishment in the form of punches.
Stone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ronald keeps working. Ronald avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Stone. Stone working the head with strikes. Stone scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ronald to see if he's OK. Stone lands an elbow.
Ronald is rocked! Stone lands a strong strike to the head of Ronald. That's dazed him! Stone looking to finish here. Ronald is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Stone lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Stone!
