Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Parker Gloves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gloves comes to the cage accompanied by Drop the Bombshell - Powerman 5000. Silva has chosen Kanye West - Amazing as his entrance music. Parker Gloves could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Julio Silva's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Silva looks to throw the jab but Gloves is out of range.
Gloves connects with a jab.
Silva takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Parker Gloves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gloves misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva.
Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gloves.
Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gloves.
Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gloves sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gloves is looking to escape.
Silva lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Silva is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gloves can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gloves's waist but Gloves gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.

Gloves feints a jab promting Silva to slip. Gloves then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Silva slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Silva rushes Gloves and presses him up against the cage.

Silva has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gloves regains guard immediately.
Silva passes Gloves's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Silva works his way into full mount!
