Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Becker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Melbrooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Becker comes to the cage accompanied by 2nd Sucks- A Day to Remember. Melbrooks has chosen Motorhead - Smiling like a killer as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Melbrooks as Becker shoots in.
Becker smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Becker throws a hook to the side of Melbrooks's head but Melbrooks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Becker lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Melbrooks hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Becker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Melbrooks connects with a leg kick. Becker looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Melbrooks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Becker is working away from the top position though.

Gabriel Becker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

You can see the frustration on Melbrooks's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Becker creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Melbrooks sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Melbrooks tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Becker passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Melbrooks!

Becker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Melbrooks with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Becker looks to land a strike but Melbrooks avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Becker is looking to work some ground and pound but Melbrooks has wrist control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Becker throws and elbow that misses. Melbrooks uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Becker's guard. Nice move by Melbrooks!

Melbrooks feints and then cracks Becker's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Becker down.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Melbrooks lands with a kick to the temple. Becker shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Becker sizes up Melbrooks with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Good leg kick by Becker there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Melbrooks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Becker connects with a looping right hand.
Becker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Melbrooks tries to avoid it but Becker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Melbrooks to the ground. Melbrooks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Melbrooks is looking to chop away at Becker's legs.
Melbrooks lands with a thumping leg kick.

and Melbrooks takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Becker's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Melbrooks connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Becker scrambles back to his feet.
Melbrooks avoids the body shot from Becker.
And that's the end of the fight!
John Melbrooks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Becker has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
