Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Gaven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pawel Borowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borowski walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Pawel Borowski has been cut.
Gaven looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gaven throws a right and a left that Borowski avoids nicely.
Borowski walks into a jab.
Gaven fails in his attempt to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Borowski or perhaps it was just good defense by Gaven which made him look bad.
Gaven tries to bum rush Borowski with a series of wild strikes but Borowski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Borowski takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooh!!! Gaven has knocked Borowski down with a huge combo! Gaven steps away and waves a wobbly Borowski back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

and Borowski counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Gaven is looking to stand up but Borowski isn't so interested in that idea.
Borowski stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Gaven moves in looking to clinch but Borowski pushes him off.

Gaven throws a series of punches but Borowski moves out of range.
Borowski misses with a takedown attempt - Gaven sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gaven swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Borowski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gaven's guard now.
Borowski looking to sit in guard and control but Gaven gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Gaven gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Borowski with a lazy takedown attempt
and Gaven counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gaven lands a left and a right that send Borowski crashing to the mat, dazed. Gaven thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
That has opened up Pawel Borowski's cut even more.

Borowski takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Borowski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gaven.

Gaven wants to clinch up but Borowski keeps it at a distance.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gaven scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gaven swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gaven lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Borowski circles away quickly and effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gaven stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gaven wants it to stay on the feet.
Gaven tries to clinch there but Borowski circles away.
Borowski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gaven pinned against the cage. Gaven gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gaven lands with a nice body punch.
Gaven gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Borowski to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gaven wants to get back to his feet but Borowski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Gaven pushes Borowski off and scrambles back to his feet.
