Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Redfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamisi McConville (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McConville is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and McConville counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Redfield is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McConville knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McConville seems to have recovered his senses.
McConville tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Redfield wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McConville can do anything to dispel that myth.
McConville is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Redfield has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Redfield will probably get the nod.
