The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welsh misses the shot to the body.
Mousasi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Welsh counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Welsh swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Mousasi counters with a single leg into guard. Welsh didn't expect that.
Mousasi is looking to stand up but Welsh won't let him.
Mousasi stands and steps away. Welsh gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Welsh throws a right and a left that Mousasi avoids nicely.

Mousasi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Welsh's waist but Welsh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mousasi off to one side.

Mousasi takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Oh Mousasi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Mousasi counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Welsh makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Welsh.
Mousasi seems to have got his legs back now.
Welsh trying to keep a closed guard but Mousasi is proving a slippery customer.
Welsh is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Welsh fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Welsh lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mousasi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mousasi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Johnny Welsh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Welsh fails to land with a series of punches.
Welsh misses with a series of wild punches.
Welsh throws a right and a left that Mousasi avoids nicely.
Mousasi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Welsh as he jumps to the side.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mousasi.

Mousasi closes the distance and clinches up with Welsh, looking for a takedown. Mousasi pushes Welsh against the cage but Welsh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Welsh scores with a nice head shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Welsh lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mousasi circles away quickly and effectively.
Mousasi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Welsh tries to avoid it but Mousasi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Welsh to the ground. Welsh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mousasi has his takedown stuffed
and Welsh counters with a straight that turns Mousasi's legs to rubber! Welsh pushes forward with more strikes and Mousasi goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
