Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Slim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yanis Pichurin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slim gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pichurin to score an easy takedown into full guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Pichurin enables Slim to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pichurin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Slim feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
