Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gravy Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aragorn Arathorm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arathorm has chosen Aragorn Soundtrack as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gravy Train! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aragorn Arathorm! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arathorm closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Train quickly recovers to half guard. Arathorm not landing any meaningful shots this time. Arathorm tries to pass the half guard into mount. Train knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arathorm content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Train avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Arathorm. Train is trying to control but can't.
Arathorm has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Arathorm lands a nice short elbow. Train is positioning himself well to prevent Arathorm advancing to mount. Arathorm is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Train blocking the ground and pound attempt from Arathorm. Arathorm thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Train's head. Train taking some punishment here, with Arathorm in his half guard. Arathorm missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Arathorm missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Arathorm is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Train defends it well. Arathorm throws a strike but Train avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Train is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Arathorm is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Arathorm landing some decent shots from guard. Arathorm loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Arathorm missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Arathorm with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Arathorm missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Arathorm throws a big right hand that misses. Arathorm keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Train's head. Train is breathing heavily. Arathorm trying to control but Train is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arathorm throwing strikes but missing. Arathorm drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Train manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Arathorm has Train in his guard. Arathorm manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Train shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Arathorm counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Arathorm tries to free his leg and advance position but Train is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arathorm makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Arathorm working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Train's head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Arathorm accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Arathorm postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Arathorm throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Train works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Arathorm makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Arathorm keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Train's head. Arathorm scores with a decent looking elbow strike. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Train working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Arathorm. Arathorm working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aragorn Arathorm dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Train falls off balance throwing a combination
and Arathorm counters with a left to the body. Train throws a combination that misses and Arathorm counters with a takedown into side control. Arathorm working the ground and pound but Train is defending the strikes. Train is trying to control Arathorm's posture but Arathorm avoids it. Arathorm trying to control the action but Train is working from the bottom. The ground and pound from Arathorm seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Train is trying to buck Arathorm off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Train takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Arathorm throwing shots but missing, from side control. Arathorm cracks Train with an elbow. That is naaassty. Aragorn Arathorm has got the better of the ground game so far. Train is not content to let Arathorm control the position. Arathorm throws a strike aimed at the side of Train's head but Train avoids it well. Train taking a bit of punishment here - Arathorm scoring with strikes. Arathorm wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Train, who protects the arm well. Train dodges the ground and pound from Arathorm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arathorm tries to score with some ground and pound. Train controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Sloppy strikes there by Arathorm. Arathorm postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Arathorm has an Americana. Train didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Arathorm is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Arathorm hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Aragorn Arathorm!
