Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuta Rekishi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko comes to the cage accompanied by Sou Foda. Rekishi has chosen Cult of Personality - Living Colour as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryuta Rekishi! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rekishi avoids it really well and circles away. Emelianenko swinging wildly here.
Rekishi throws a leg kick which misses Emelianenko's front leg but catches the back leg as Emelianenko tries to avoid it. Rekishi throws a nice looking combination but Emelianenko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rekishi thuds his shin into the meat of Emelianenko's side. Emelianenko is breathing heavily. Emelianenko looks to clinch and Rekishi counters with an inside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rekishi throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. A head kick from Rekishi lands but Emelianenko takes it in his stride.
It looks like Gabriel Emelianenko has been cut. Rekishi connects with an inside leg kick. Gabriel Emelianenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A nice inside leg kick there by Rekishi. That's going to slow Emelianenko down. Emelianenko has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rekishi. Rekishi throws a leg kick which misses Emelianenko's front leg but catches the back leg as Emelianenko tries to avoid it. Rekishi looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Rekishi feints and then cracks Emelianenko's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Emelianenko down. Rekishi connects with a solid leg kick. Rekishi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A left lands for Rekishi.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rekishi lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Emelianenko sprawling to the canvas. Rekishi follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Emelianenko hang on?

Gabriel Emelianenko's cut is getting worse. Emelianenko avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rekishi. Rekishi missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Rekishi sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Emelianenko defending well though. Emelianenko on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rekishi wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko is not content to let Rekishi control the position. Emelianenko keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Rekishi wants to control but Emelianenko is keeping him busy. Rekishi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rekishi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Emelianenko's head. Emelianenko keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rekishi trying to control from half guard but Emelianenko is working away. Rekishi thows a huge punch but Emelianenko dodges it nicely.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rekishi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Emelianenko's head. Rekishi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Emelianenko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Emelianenko avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rekishi.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Emelianenko blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rekishi. Rekishi throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Emelianenko defending well though. Emelianenko keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rekishi trying to control the action but Emelianenko is working from the bottom. Emelianenko blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rekishi. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryuta Rekishi dominated that round. The cut man is working on Gabriel Emelianenko's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
An inside leg kick lands from Rekishi. Emelianenko throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rekishi has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rekishi lands a head kick!
Emelianenko on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rekishi fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Rekishi lands a nice looking body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rekishi throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Emelianenko stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Rekishi follows into mount!
Gabriel Emelianenko's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Emelianenko blocking the ground and pound. Emelianenko wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Rekishi.
Rekishi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jeez, Gabriel Emelianenko's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Gabriel Emelianenko's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ryuta Rekishi!
