8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Galt! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Galt wants to land a leg kick but Weathers is out of range. Weathers takes a swing at Galt's ribcage but misses. Weathers rushes Galt and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Weathers tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Still in the clinch, Galt scores with a nice short uppercut. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Galt takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Weathers breaks the clinch.

Weathers instigates a clinch. Weathers tries to work over Galt's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

It looks like Carl Weathers has been cut. Weathers tries to break free but Galt pushes him back against the cage. Galt slows down the pace here.

Galt lands a right hand. Weathers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Galt throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Galt is looking to chop away at Weathers's legs. Weathers throws a series of punches but Galt avoids them all with ease. Galt staying out of range there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Weathers closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
