Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mingos Barbocius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barbocius has chosen ecstasy of gold as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Steele! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mingos Barbocius! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steele closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Steele lands in his opponent's guard. Steele stops Barbocius from standing up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barbocius can do anything to dispel that myth. Barbocius keeping full guard, as Steele tries to pass. Barbocius uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Barbocius gets in close and instigates a clinch. Steele turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Steele manages to end up in side control. Barbocius is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Steele goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Barbocius has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Steele but great work by Barbocius. Barbocius stands up and we're back to a striking position. Barbocius shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Barbocius content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Barbocius has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Steele trying to control from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mingos Barbocius wasn't active enough on the ground. Barbocius throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mingos Barbocius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barbocius drives through with a takedown into guard. Steele trying to control the position here. Barbocius tries to stand but Steele is controlling from the bottom. Steele looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Barbocius wants to control from the top but Steele keeps moving.

Barbocius stands and steps away. Steele gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Barbocius scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Barbocius escapes and gets back to his feet. Barbocius forces Steele back against the cage and clinches. Barbocius wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Steele is working for takedown but Barbocius is calmly controlling the position for now. Steele avoids a wild elbow strike from Barbocius. Barbocius is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Barbocius is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Steele is breathing heavily. Barbocius creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Steele's defenses.
It looks like Jay Steele has been cut. Barbocius tries to stall but Steele uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Barbocius pulls Steele into guard.
Barbocius is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Steele is controlling him. Steele tries to free his leg and advance position but Barbocius is retaining full guard. Steele prevents Barbocius from getting back to his feet. Steele slips nicely into half guard. Barbocius manages to escape and get back to his feet! Barbocius gets a clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Steele tries for a takedown but Barbocius manages to get underhooks.

Mingos Barbocius dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jay Steele's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Steele enables Barbocius to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Steele manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Barbocius gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mingos Barbocius is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Barbocius scores with a takedown into Steele's guard. Barbocius trying to control but Steele is working from the bottom. Barbocius wants to stand but Steele has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Mingos Barbocius has got the better of the ground game so far. Barbocius is stalling in the full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mingos Barbocius has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Barbocius takes the fight into the clinch. Barbocius softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Steele looking for a takedown. Barbocius breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Barbocius clinches. Steele drops down looking for an ankle pick but Barbocius pulls his leg out and moves away.
Barbocius throws a head kick that misses and Steele counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barbocius pushes Steele off looking to stand but Steele dives back in and keeps control.
Barbocius has one foot on Steele's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Barbocius shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Steele napping and manages to drive through into side control! Barbocius working the head with strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Steele is not content to let Barbocius control the position. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Barbocius postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Barbocius has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Mingos Barbocius is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that's the end of the fight! Mingos Barbocius comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Barbocius has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
