The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Damn defending well as Bisping loads up on a big left hand.
Van Damn tries a head kick but it misses.

Bisping misses with a wild combination.
A slow jab from Bisping misses its intended target.
Bisping misses with a straight left.
Van Damn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bisping.
Van Damn throws a head kick that misses.
Some wild striking there from Bisping.
Van Damn moves away from the strike by Bisping.
Bisping throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Van Damn thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bisping if he has to take too many more of those.
Bisping misses with a straight left.

Bisping throws a left and a right that both miss
and Van Damn counters with a low kick, right behind Bisping 's knee.
Bisping misses the shot to the body.

Van Damn lands a high kick to the side of Bisping's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Van Damn dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Michael Bisping has been cut.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Van Damn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bisping has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Van Damn has managed to get both his arms back between Bisping's legs - danger averted.
Bisping looks gassed!

Van Damn is looking to stand up but Bisping won't let him.

Bisping escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Van Damn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bisping is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Van Damn is aware though and is defending well.

Bisping throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Van Damn escapes and throws Bisping's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Bisping tries to improve position but can't.

and Van Damn counters with a head kick.

Bisping missing with a left hand there. Van Damn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Van Damn throws a head kick but Bisping moves out of range.
Bisping scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Van Damn thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bisping if he has to take too many more of those.
Van Damn throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
