Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Turk Turkleton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reynolds comes to the cage accompanied by Fire and Rain. Turk Turkleton will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Turk Turkleton! The judges for this bout are , and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reynolds lands in his opponent's guard. Reynolds sitting in guard here, content to control. Reynolds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turkleton swivels though and keeps the full guard. Reynolds sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Turkleton keeping full guard, as Reynolds tries to pass.
 We're going to have a standup here because Rusty Reynolds wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Reynolds slips a straight right by Turkleton. Turkleton misses with a lunging right hand
so Reynolds counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reynolds lands a couple of decent looking shots. Reynolds is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Reynolds is working Turkleton over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Reynolds's corner is telling him to maintain position. Reynolds lands a couple of decent looking shots. Reynolds passes easily into side control. Nice work. Reynolds is staying tight to Turkleton's torso, preventing him from escaping. Reynolds throws a strike aimed at the side of Turkleton's head but Turkleton avoids it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reynolds content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
 Rusty Reynolds has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Reynolds shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Turkleton napping and manages to drive through into side control! Reynolds takes a little break here. Turkleton wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Check out the look on Reynolds's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Turkleton is letting Reynolds control him for a moment.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Turkleton looks gassed! Turkleton is looking to regain half guard here but Reynolds keeps moving and retains side control. Reynolds lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Reynolds landing a few strikes. Reynolds working the head and body with strikes. Turkleton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reynolds. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Reynolds is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Reynolds has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Reynolds has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Reynolds advances to mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reynolds looking to control and managing it successfully. Reynolds has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Turkleton's face.

Reynolds decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Reynolds works his foot free and advances to mount. Reynolds sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Turkleton is bucking up trying to escape but Reynolds cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Reynolds content just to control the position here.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Turkleton in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Reynolds landing shots from mount. Reynolds fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Reynolds's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Reynolds with a couple of short strikes. Reynolds tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Reynolds will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reynolds seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Turkleton for as long as he can get away with. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Reynolds feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Reynolds works a leg free and moves into half guard. Turk Turkleton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Reynolds stalling.
