Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafal Frankenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frankenberg comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Polish Anthem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George St Pierre! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rafal Frankenberg! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frankenberg keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Frankenberg fails to land with a series of punches.
Frankenberg should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Frankenberg takes a swing at St Pierre's ribcage but misses. Frankenberg looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. St Pierre is trying to control but can't.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. St Pierre shoots and misses and Frankenberg moves into the clinch. Frankenberg wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Frankenberg escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

St Pierre tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Frankenberg tries to hold on but St Pierre pushes him away. St Pierre landing strikes from the mount and Frankenberg is in trouble! St Pierre breaks from Frankenberg's wrist control and lands an elbow. That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre is positioning himself well to prevent Frankenberg advancing to mount. St Pierre moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now St Pierre is on top in guard.
St Pierre keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Frankenberg's head. Frankenberg kicks St Pierre off and gets to his feet. St Pierre has a takedown stuffed. Frankenberg misses with a takedown and St Pierre decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Frankenberg's guard. Rafal Frankenberg has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! St Pierre tries to roll over but Frankenberg keeps him under control. He's hooked one of Frankenberg's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Frankenberg's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Frankenberg's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
St Pierre is trying to stick to Frankenberg's back but Frankenberg is turning into St Pierre. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in St Pierre's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Frankenberg. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Frankenberg has eaten all the pies! St Pierre thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. St Pierre seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Frankenberg wants to get up but he can't break St Pierre's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. St Pierre is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Frankenberg punching from the bottom.
Frankenberg is trying to get back to full guard. Frankenberg is trying to stand up here but St Pierre is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Frankenberg is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. St Pierre sitting and controlling from the half guard. Frankenberg trying to control from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. St Pierre tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Frankenberg paws at him with a jab and circles away. St Pierre gets the takedown into side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Frankenberg taking a bit of punishment here - St Pierre scoring with strikes. St Pierre is staying tight to Frankenberg's torso, preventing him from escaping. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Frankenberg chipping away with strikes from the bottom.
Frankenberg explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! St Pierre throws a looping overhand right but Frankenberg ducks down to avoid it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to George St Pierre. Well I reckon that's a shut out for St Pierre, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
