Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Walter O Flanigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sgt Parrotface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Flanigan comes to the cage accompanied by Spicy McHaggis Jig. The key to victory for Walter O Flanigan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Walter O Flanigan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Sgt Parrotface! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parrotface fails in his attempt to clinch. O Flanigan slips under a jab. Parrotface avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Parrotface doesn't succeed with the takedown and O Flanigan counters with a nice low kick that buckles Parrotface's knee momentarily. O Flanigan looks to throw the jab but Parrotface is out of range. O Flanigan blocks a leg kick. Parrotface shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Parrotface is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Parrotface wants to work for an arm triangle but O Flanigan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parrotface is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but O Flanigan still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, O Flanigan has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! O Flanigan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Parrotface, who protects the arm well. Parrotface is being controlled here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parrotface manages to get back to half guard. O Flanigan missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. O Flanigan tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Parrotface. O Flanigan is keen to just control but Parrotface is a slippery customer. O Flanigan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. O Flanigan is keen to just control but Parrotface is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walter O Flanigan has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Parrotface wants to clinch up but O Flanigan keeps it at a distance. Parrotface shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling O Flanigan to counter with a crisp jab. O Flanigan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Parrotface. Parrotface tries to clinch up but O Flanigan circles away and keeps his distance. Parrotface fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but O Flanigan is out of range. Sgt Parrotface seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parrotface throws a looping overhand right but O Flanigan ducks down to avoid it. A nice inside leg kick there by Parrotface. That's going to slow O Flanigan down. Parrotface steps to the side to avoid the strikes from O Flanigan. Parrotface swings away with a leg kick that misses. Parrotface throws a right and a left that O Flanigan avoids nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. O Flanigan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. O Flanigan scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. O Flanigan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parrotface.
Parrotface misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Walter O Flanigan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sgt Parrotface. Parrotface looks gassed! O Flanigan moves into range and connects with a jab. Parrotface displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as O Flanigan throws out the jab. O Flanigan is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. A clash of legs there as O Flanigan blocks the low kick. Parrotface shoots for a takedown but O Flanigan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. O Flanigan connects with a body shot. Parrotface takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. O Flanigan cracks Parrotface with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. O Flanigan has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Parrotface to stand back up! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Walter O Flanigan dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
O Flanigan drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Parrotface's head, knocking him out cold! O Flanigan is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Walter O Flanigan!
