Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Murdock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damon Rekker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murdock's entrance music is Man Without Fear. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matthew Murdock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damon Rekker!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rekker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Murdock circles away quickly and effectively.
Murdock scores with a head kick.
Rekker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No joy there for Rekker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rekker misses with a double jab.
Murdock tries to clinch up.
Murdock takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A swing and a miss from Rekker.
Rekker swinging wildly here.
Rekker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rekker misses with a straight left.
Rekker misses with a wild body shot.
Rekker misses with a two punch combination.
Murdock lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Murdock tries to clinch up but Rekker circles away and keeps his distance.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Murdock.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rekker on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Rekker looks gassed!
Murdock ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Murdock connects with a solid leg kick.
Murdock throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rekker.
It looks like Damon Rekker has been cut.
Murdock scores with a head kick. Rekker tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Rekker is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rekker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rekker is still on wobbly legs! Can Murdock finish him?
Rekker drops his hands momentarily and Murdock needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Rekker just on the top of the head. Rekker drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Rekker - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Matthew Murdock!
