The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalandarishvili shoots in and bounces Kohr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kalandarishvili sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kalandarishvili is looking to work some ground and pound but Kohr has wrist control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kalandarishvili prevents Kohr from getting the reversal. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kalandarishvili connects with a nice short shot to Kohr's temple. Kalandarishvili seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Kalandarishvili doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kalandarishvili manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kohr controls Kalandarishvili momentarily but Kalandarishvili frees himself. Kalandarishvili distracts Kohr with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kalandarishvili is working Kohr over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kalandarishvili is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
