Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brodie Sinclair!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dunch Henry!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sinclair is fending him off so far but Henry persists. Nope, Sinclair circles away and we're back to standing.
Sinclair keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Henry misses with a jab, cross combination.

Henry shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sinclair as he jumps to the side.
Brodie Sinclair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dunch Henry.

Sinclair scores with a sloppy right hand. Henry should have avoided that one.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Henry keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sinclair's head.

Henry throws and elbow that misses. Sinclair uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Henry's guard. Nice move by Sinclair!

Sinclair wants to lay and pray for a moment but Henry keeps working.

That was a close round but I would say that Brodie Sinclair will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Sinclair slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Henry uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Sinclair ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nice takedown defense from Sinclair. No joy for Henry on that attempt.

Sinclair shoots in looking for a takedown. Henry tries to sprawl out of it but Sinclair keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Henry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Henry closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Henry wants to stand but Sinclair is controlling his arm.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henry is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Henry is pressing down on Sinclair's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sinclair is holding on for now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Henry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Henry connects with a nice short shot to Sinclair's temple.

Henry looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sinclair with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
