Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Nichols!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by The Impaler or perhaps it was just good defense by Nichols which made him look bad.
The Impaler fails to land the takedown.
The Impaler stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Nichols.
The Impaler tries to clinch up.
The Impaler shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nichols sprawls well. Nichols wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The Impaler gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vlad The Impaler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nichols slaps away a takedown attempt from The Impaler, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nichols pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nichols leaves The Impaler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nichols lands a high kick!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nichols darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Vlad The Impaler has been cut.
Nichols with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nichols looks to land a combination but The Impaler avoids it well.
Nichols smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A decent looking cross lands there for Nichols.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Nichols! The Impaler is out on his feet! Nichols rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - The Impaler is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! The Impaler is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
