Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Lighty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Hayashida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lighty avoids the head kick by Hayashida.
Lighty fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hayashida, pushing him back against the cage.
Hayashida wants to get back to striking at distance but Lighty won't allow it.
Lighty drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hayashida gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hayashida wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lighty has him pressed against the cage.
Hayashida is pressed up against the cage. Lighty has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hayashida down to the mat. Hayashida avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lighty shoots for a double leg takedown but Hayashida sprawls well. He's pushed Lighty's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Lighty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hayashida displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lighty.

Nice takedown defense from Hayashida. No joy for Lighty on that attempt.
Hayashida connects with the punch.
Lighty showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hayashida.
Hayashida attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Hayashida looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hayashida will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Lighty looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hayashida!

Hayashida is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hayashida really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lighty. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

It looks like Akira Hayashida has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lighty throwing strikes here but Hayashida is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Hayashida tries to reverse the position but Lighty maintains control.

Lighty is landing with some decent strikes but Hayashida is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Lighty throws some wild stikes that Hayashida manages to avoid easily.
Hayashida is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Lighty connects with a bit shot that sees Hayashida covering up! More strikes from Lighty and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Lighty is our winner by TKO!
