Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Hester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jensen Stuart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hester comes to the cage accompanied by George Clinton-Atomic Dog. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Hester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jensen Stuart!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hester is looking to clinch.
Dave Hester seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stuart throws a looping overhand right but Hester ducks down to avoid it.

Stuart clinches.
Hester works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Stuart is looking to break free of the clinch but Hester has double underhooks.
Hester lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stuart backwards.
Stuart tries to pull guard but Hester won't allow it.
Stuart is trying to break the clinch but Hester has him pressed against the cage.
The referee calls for Hester to work.
Hester scores with a nice hook to the head.
Hester digs a right hand underneath Stuart's ribcage. Stuart let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Stuart has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hester uses from the top position.

Hester slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Stuart not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hester postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hester wants to control from the top but Stuart keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Stuart misses with a looping left.
Stuart fails to land the takedown.
Stuart tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hester swivels and escapes.
Dave Hester has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jensen Stuart.

Hester closes the distance and clinches.
Hester keeps control of Stuart as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Hester lands a nice uppercut.

Hester lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Hester gets underhooks to prevent Stuart's takedown attempt.

Hester breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hester wants to clinch up but Stuart keeps it at a distance.
Nice body punch from Hester.

Stuart drives through and clinches with Hester against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stuart tries a body shot but Hester blocks it.
Hester keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stuart's efforts to push away.

Still in the clinch, Hester scores with a nice short uppercut.
Stuart tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hester is working Stuart over against the cage.

Hester manages to break the clinch.

Hester closes the distance and clinches.
Hester lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Hester stalls.

Hester successfully pulls guard.

Hester is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Hester is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stuart is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stuart throwing strikes from guard but Hester blocks nicely.

Hester had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stuart defends it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stuart is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Hester is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stuart defends well.
Stuart working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Hester has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Stuart is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hester.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hester tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Stuart wants to stand but Hester has his arm trapped.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hester is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Stuart asserts his dominance and retains side control.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Stuart closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Stuart drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hester lands a left hand.
A short uppercut from Hester.

Hester breaks from the clinch.

Hester closes the distance and clinches.

Hester breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stuart closes the distance and clinches up with Hester, looking for a takedown. Stuart pushes Hester against the cage but Hester circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Stuart shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hester as he jumps to the side.
Dave Hester has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jensen Stuart.

Stuart gets tackled into the cage by Hester. Hester maintains the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Hester.
A nice right hand lands inside from Hester.
Stuart tries to circle away but Hester has him pinned against the cage.

Hester has Stuart pressed against the cage, preventing Stuart from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Hester's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hester connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stuart. Stuart circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Stuart clinches up with Hester and pushes him back against the cage.

Stuart turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Hester is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Stuart off and has taken his back!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stuart controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Stuart rolls, trying to escape but Hester keeps control of the position.

Stuart wants to get back to his feet.

Hester has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Hester is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Stuart knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Stuart for a finish.
Hester is trying to stick to Stuart's back but Stuart is turning into Hester. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hester's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Stuart.

Hester escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stuart gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Stuart wants to get up but he can't break Hester's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hester is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Hester has his foot on Stuart's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stuart works his way back into a safe position though.

Stuart thows a big elbow that misses.
Stuart stopping the sweep attempt from Hester.

Hester working for a triangle but Stuart defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hester escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stuart gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hester isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Stuart stacks Hester on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Stuart!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's time! Hester's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


The fight stays on the outside here - Hester looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hester stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stuart swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hester chips away with some ground and pound.
Hester wants to control from the top but Stuart keeps moving.

Dave Hester overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hester drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stuart manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hester has Stuart in his guard.
Stuart wants to pass the guard but Hester is keeping the position.
Jensen Stuart has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Stuart works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hester is not content to let Stuart control the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stuart thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hester to regain full guard.
Dave Hester is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Hester has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
