Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Edwax Mags! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Travis Fullton! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fullton manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mags on his heels. He'll look to pass Mags's guard now, I'm sure. Mags utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Fullton thows a big elbow that misses. Fullton throws a strike but Mags rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Mags stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fullton swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mags drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fullton dives on top into guard. Mags might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mags is breathing heavily. Fullton would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Fullton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fullton thows a big elbow that misses. Fullton is looking to work some ground and pound but Mags has wrist control. Fullton chips away with some ground and pound. Fullton distracts Mags with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Fullton wanted to stand there but Mags had control of the position. Mags working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fullton. Fullton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mags is keeping the position for now. Fullton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mags. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fullton cracks Mags with a solid left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fullton passes Mags's left leg - he's now in half guard. Fullton controlling the pace. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fullton is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Mags avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fullton.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fullton drops an elbow to the side of Mags's head. Fullton takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Fullton drops an elbow to the side of Mags's head. Fullton working over Mags with some ground and pound. Mags looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Fullton is looking to advance position but Mags won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mags on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Fullton looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Fullton slows the pace down in half guard.

Mags is refusing to be controlled, as Fullton sits in half guard. Fullton lands with a punch from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Travis Fullton dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Mags enables Fullton to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mags manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fullton trying to control but Mags is working from the bottom. Fullton lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Fullton trying to control the position from guard on top but Mags is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fullton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mags wants to get back to his feet but Fullton is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Fullton content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fullton wants to control from the top but Mags keeps moving. Fullton throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fullton sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Travis Fullton. Fullton looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mags!

Fullton pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Mags is squirming around, avoiding Fullton's attempts to control the action. Fullton breaks from Mags's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Fullton cracks Mags with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Fullton wants to control the pace but Mags is squirming around nicely. Fullton is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mags can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fullton cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Travis Fullton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Mags in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Fullton takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Travis Fullton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Fullton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
