Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyron Woodley!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Woodley scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Woodley has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Kleva wants to clinch

and Woodley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Woodley stands and steps away. Kleva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Woodley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kleva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kleva moves to clinch but Woodley breaks away

and Woodley counters with a single leg into guard. Kleva didn't expect that.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tyron Woodley hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Woodley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kleva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Woodley somewhat.
Vitaliy Kleva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyron Woodley.
Kleva closes the distance looking to clinch

and Woodley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kleva won't be happy with that.

Woodley works to advance to full mount. Kleva defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Kleva is bucking up trying to escape but Woodley cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

so Woodley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Woodley stays in close to Kleva's body and controls the position.
It looks like Woodley might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tyron Woodley.

Woodley decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Woodley looking to control and managing it successfully.
Let's hope that Woodley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

and Woodley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Kleva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kleva tries to get out of the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Woodley in particular looking to stall.

Woodley decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Woodley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kleva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Woodley stays in close to Kleva's body and controls the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Woodley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Woodley gets to his feet. Kleva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Woodley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kleva did well to prevent Woodley getting side control.
Woodley works his foot free and advances to mount.

Woodley pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Tyron Woodley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Woodley throws a one two combo.


It looks like Vitaliy Kleva has been cut.
Kleva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Woodley.
Woodley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Woodley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kleva to the mat! Kleva manages to get full guard.
Woodley stays in close to Kleva's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Woodley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Woodley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Woodley manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kleva on his heels. He'll look to pass Kleva's guard now, I'm sure.

Well Woodley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
