Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paddy Stow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Richard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stow comes to the cage accompanied by Wild Rover. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Paddy Stow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Duke Richard!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richard fails with a takedown attempt.
Stow scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The fight stays on the outside here - Stow looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stow slaps away a takedown attempt from Richard, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Richard blocks a head kick by Stow.
Stow tries to clinch up.
Stow shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Richard eats them both and turns towards Stow to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Stow wants to clinch.

Stow clinches.
Stow stalling in the clinch but Richard improves position.
Richard is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stow pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Paddy Stow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duke Richard.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Stow just misses with a elbow thrown towards Richard's brow.
Stow pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Stow throws an elbow but it misses.

Stow throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Richard blocks it with crossed arms.
Richard goes for a takedown attempt but Stow pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Stow tries to clinch but Richard is having none of it.
Horrible takedown by Richard or perhaps it was just good defense by Stow which made him look bad.

and Richard counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Richard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Richard is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Richard might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Stow is looking to clinch but Richard is avoiding it.

Stow tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Richard manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Richard fails to land with a series of punches.

Richard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stow sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

so Richard counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Duke Richard will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Richard postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stow is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Richard, into his guard.
Duke Richard has got the better of the ground game so far.

Stow drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Richard manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Stow has Richard in his guard.

Richard passes to full mount!
Stow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Richard get's back to his feet.

Richard shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stow but Stow pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Paddy Stow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duke Richard.

Stow throws a head kick that half lands.
Stow misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Richard. Stow does a little dance to reset his feet.
Stow is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Stow slips a jab and a cross from Richard.

Horrible takedown by Richard or perhaps it was just good defense by Stow which made him look bad.
Stow wants to clinch up but Richard keeps it at a distance.

Stow with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Richard to score with a decent uppercut.
Paddy Stow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stow misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stow scores with a leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duke Richard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Stow throws a head kick but Richard moves out of range.
Richard uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Stow tries to close the distance and clinch but Richard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stow moves to clinch but Richard breaks away

and Richard counters with a takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here as Richard stalls from top position.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Richard decides to stand back up. Richard steps back and let's Stow get back to his feet.
Stow is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Stow tries to clinch but Richard moves away

and Richard counters with a single leg into guard. Stow didn't expect that.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Richard drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Richard jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Richard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Let's hope that Richard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Richard is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Stow is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Richard takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Paddy Stow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Richard is trying to work for a kimura but Stow is defending well.
Richard is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Duke Richard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Richard winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
