Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Jakson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Ratcliffe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jakson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Thriller. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Jakson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Ratcliffe! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ratcliffe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ratcliffe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ratcliffe looks gassed! Nice takedown defense from Ratcliffe. No joy for Jakson on that attempt. Ratcliffe fails to land the takedown. Michael Jakson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Ratcliffe. Jakson fails with a takedown attempt. Jakson goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ratcliffe shoots in for a double leg but Jakson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jakson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ratcliffe avoids it really well and circles away. Jakson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ratcliffe swivels and escapes. Jakson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jakson tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Ratcliffe is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jakson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Ratcliffe is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jakson pulls his head out easily. Ratcliffe looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Jakson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Jakson's corner calls for a 1-2. Jakson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Jakson clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jakson displaying some good clinch control by pressing Ratcliffe up against the cage. Jakson manages to break the clinch.

Ratcliffe fails with a takedown attempt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ratcliffe leaves Jakson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jakson lands a high kick!
Jakson stuffs the takedown attempt from Ratcliffe. Ratcliffe gets slowly back to his feet. Jakson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ratcliffe napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ratcliffe is looking for a sweep. Jakson takes a little break here. Ratcliffe wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Ratcliffe sneaks back into half guard. Ratcliffe looking for submissions off his back. Ratcliffe wants to get back to full guard but Jakson has passed into side control. Ratcliffe tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jakson presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ratcliffe is working to get back to half guard.
Ratcliffe is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Jakson with a couple of short strikes. Ratcliffe can't escape the position.
Jakson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ratcliffe on the ground. Jakson controlling from the full mount. Ratcliffe blocking the ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jakson with the ground and pound from mount. Ratcliffe tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jakson throws some wild stikes that Ratcliffe manages to avoid easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Jakson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A chopping leg kick lands by Jakson. Jakson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ratcliffe defends it nicely. Jakson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ratcliffe as he avoids it easily. Ratcliffe with a poor takedown and Jakson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ratcliffe won't be happy with that. Jakson staying calm. Jakson scoring with punches and elbows.
Ratcliffe is rocked! Jakson stands up and beckons Ratcliffe to his feet. Ratcliffe is still on wobbly legs! Can Jakson finish him? Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jakson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Ratcliffe keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jakson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ratcliffe has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Jakson breaks from Ratcliffe's wrist control and lands an elbow. Ratcliffe is trying desperately to improve position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jakson looking to control and managing it successfully. Ratcliffe is working to get back to half guard.
Jakson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ratcliffe is looking to improve his position but Jakson isn't that keen on the idea. Jakson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Ratcliffe bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Ratcliffe won't allow Jakson to sweep him here. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Jakson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jakson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Ratcliffe passes Jakson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jakson has his hands clasped together around Ratcliffe's back. He's all about the action. Ratcliffe wants to work for an arm triangle but Jakson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ratcliffe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jakson defends it well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jakson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jakson. Jakson has his hands on Ratcliffe's head, controlling the position. Jakson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ratcliffe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ratcliffe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jakson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ratcliffe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ratcliffe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ratcliffe is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jakson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jakson has escaped and now he's on top! Jakson slips nicely into half guard. Jakson is controlling the pace.

Jakson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Ratcliffe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ratcliffe seems to have recovered his senses. That's four minutes gone in the round. Jakson shoots in for a takedown but Ratcliffe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ratcliffe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jakson but Jakson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jakson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ratcliffe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jakson stuffs the takedown. No luck with that takedown attempt from Ratcliffe. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ratcliffe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jakson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jakson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jakson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ratcliffe on his heels. He'll look to pass Ratcliffe's guard now, I'm sure. Jakson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ratcliffe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jakson has managed to get both his arms back between Ratcliffe's legs - danger averted. Ratcliffe working for submissions but it's allowed Jakson to get to half guard.
