Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Cheese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Lotus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lotus has chosen Eye of the tiger as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lotus digs a good hook to Cheese's body.

Lotus shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lotus is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Lotus decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Cheese digs a right hand underneath Lotus's ribcage. Lotus let out a lung full of air as it connected.

No joy there for Cheese, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cheese slaps away a takedown attempt from Lotus, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lotus clinches with his opponent.
Lotus wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lotus is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Cheese breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lotus gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A short body shot lands from Cheese as the two fighters clinch.
Lotus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Cheese counters with a left to the body.
A cross from Cheese lands.

Lotus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cheese regains half guard.
Cheese wants to get back to full guard.
Lotus wants to free his trapped foot but Cheese is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Cheese wants to improve his position but Lotus is controlling well.
Lotus is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cheese doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lotus.
Lotus trying to mount his opponent but Cheese defends it.

Lotus is taking a breather. Cheese says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lotus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cheese keeps working.
Lotus stands up out of the half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lotus takes the fight into the clinch.
Lotus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Lotus dominated that round.

Lotus dives in and scores a takedown into Cheese's guard.
Lotus drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cheese dives on top into guard.
Cheese distracts Lotus with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Lotus looking for a triangle here. Cheese is fighting it but it looks tight! Lotus pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Cheese is tapping out - this one is all over!
