Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oppolla Doc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Milson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doc comes into the arena with Heat - The Jesus and Mary Chain blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Max Milson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oppolla Doc! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Milson! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Milson shoots in but no luck this time. Doc keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Doc connects with a looping right hand.
It looks like Max Milson has been cut. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Milson. Oppolla Doc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Milson. A combination from Doc does no damage. Milson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Doc sprawls well. Doc wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Milson gets slowly back to his feet. Doc throws a nice looking combination but Milson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Milson slips a straight right by Doc. Some wild striking there from Doc.
Milson shoots in looking for a takedown. Doc tries to sprawl out of it but Milson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Doc manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Doc tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Milson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Doc gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Doc working for a triangle but Milson defends it easily.
Milson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Doc's guard. Doc wants to get back to his feet.
Milson moves into full mount! Doc won't be happy about that! Doc is desperately trying to improve his position but Milson has a good base and remains in mount. Milson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Doc manages to avoid the submission attempt. Doc is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Milson has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Milson trying to control the action but Doc is working from the bottom. Doc stops Milson from passing to mount. Doc is looking for a sweep. Milson tries to advance to mount but can't. Milson tries for a kimura but Doc is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Doc prevents Milson from improving position. Doc is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Milson asserts his dominance and retains side control. Doc can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doc is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Milson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Doc is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Doc pushes Milson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Milson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Milson is trying to land an Americana. After a battle for position, Milson asserts his dominance and retains side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Milson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Doc is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Milson yanks on the arm and Doc is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Milson.
