Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kulapu Saga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshi Kamazaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoshi Kamazaki will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kulapu Saga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshi Kamazaki!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saga tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Kamazaki counters by moving into the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Kamazaki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kamazaki breaks the clinch.
Saga scores with a jab to the body.
Saga shoots in but Kamazaki avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kamazaki darts in and clinches Saga up against the cage.
Kamazaki is working Saga over against the cage.
Saga is breathing heavily.

Saga is trying to force a seperation but Kamazaki has the dominant position.

Kamazaki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kamazaki is pulling down on Saga's head to control his posture.
Kamazaki looking for a sweep. Not yet Kamazaki, not yet.

Kamazaki wriggles free and stands up.
Kamazaki looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Saga is fending him off so far but Kamazaki persists. Nope, Saga circles away and we're back to standing.

Kamazaki closes the distance and pushes Saga back into the cage.

Saga misses with a double jab.
Nice sprawl there from Kamazaki as Saga shoots in.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Kamazaki counters with a big head kick but Saga shrugs it off.

Saga shoots in for a takedown but Kamazaki shows good takedown defense.

Kamazaki clinches with his opponent.
Saga tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kamazaki just stands there and leans against the cage.
Saga drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kamazaki gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Saga tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kamazaki smiles and moves away.
Saga looks for a takedown but Kamazaki sprawls well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yoshi Kamazaki dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Saga moves into the clinch.
Kamazaki has Saga pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Saga manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Kamazaki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick from Kamazaki lands but Saga takes it in his stride.
Nice sprawl there from Saga as Kamazaki shoots in.
Saga wants to clinch up but Kamazaki keeps it at a distance.
No luck for Saga with that takedown attempt.
Saga fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kamazaki takes the fight into the clinch.

Kamazaki tries to score a body lock takedown but Saga shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Saga controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Saga trying to control the position from guard on top but Kamazaki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kulapu Saga.

The crowd are getting on Kamazaki's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

and Kamazaki counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Saga's guard now.

Kamazaki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kamazaki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Saga but Saga pushes him off and we're back to square one.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saga fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kamazaki avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yoshi Kamazaki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Saga's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!


Kamazaki wants to clinch.
Kamazaki goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Kamazaki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kamazaki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Saga moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Kamazaki leaves Saga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Saga has Kamazaki pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kamazaki manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kamazaki on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Saga gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kamazaki.
Kulapu Saga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshi Kamazaki.
Kamazaki is pushing Saga up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Kamazaki ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kamazaki no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kamazaki can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Saga would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Saga looking to sit in guard and control but Kamazaki gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kamazaki gets to his feet - Saga follows without any prompting.
Saga shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kamazaki as he jumps to the side.

and Kamazaki holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Saga wants to clinch.
Kamazaki fails to land the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Saga.

and Kamazaki counters by clinching up.
Saga changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kamazaki fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Yoshi Kamazaki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kamazaki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
