The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong shoots in and bounces Sirminov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Sirminov looking for a sweep. Not yet Sirminov, not yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sirminov is on top in guard.
Armstrong looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sirminov forces his way into half guard.
Armstrong looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Armstrong is looking to improve his position.
Armstrong is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Sirminov passes the guard and advances to mount!
Armstrong is in a horrible position here. Sirminov smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Sirminov is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Armstrong is in real trouble.

Armstrong manages to reverse the position and now he's in Sirminov's guard. Nice work there by Armstrong.

Sirminov tries to improve position but can't.
Sirminov gets back to half guard.
Armstrong has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sirminov defend it? Armstrong steps over the head and cranks it - Sirminov is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Armstrong!
