Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Leshley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nolan Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leshley comes to the cage accompanied by Step into a World. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Leshley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nolan Schmidt!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leshley misses with a two punch combination.

Leshley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Schmidt is just riding it out for now. Leshley eventually gives up the hold.

Schmidt tries to close the distance and clinch but Leshley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Leshley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Leshley shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Schmidt is trying to defend but Leshley finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Leshley connects with a nice short shot to Schmidt's temple.

Leshley is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Schmidt to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Schmidt shrugs it off.
