Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Big McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fidalgo Brokador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McGee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Hand that Feeds. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Big McGee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fidalgo Brokador! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brokador scores with a one two! McGee had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Big McGee has been cut. Brokador throws a leg kick that is checked and McGee counters with a nice double leg into guard. McGee passes easily into side control. Nice work. Brokador is trying to buck McGee off. Brokador avoids any damage from the ground and pound of McGee. McGee tries for a kimura but Brokador is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McGee is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brokador knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Brokador dodges the ground and pound from McGee.

He has the arm isolated but Brokador is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Brokador prevents McGee from moving into mount. Brokador is looking to reverse the position. McGee tries to score with some ground and pound. Brokador controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Brokador is not content to let McGee control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brokador swivels though and keeps the full guard. McGee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. McGee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Brokador keeping moving, preventing McGee from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brokador can do anything to dispel that myth. McGee drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McGee jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brokador keeping full guard, as McGee tries to pass. McGee with a flurry of punches that miss.

McGee stands and throws Brokador's legs to the side, diving into side control. Brokador gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! McGee working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Big McGee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McGee is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Brokador to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brokador shrugs it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brokador is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Brokador blocking the ground and pound. McGee sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! McGee thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Brokador wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Brokador is breathing heavily. McGee working for a submission but Brokador is keeping him at bay. McGee thowing shots but they're missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Big McGee dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Big McGee's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

McGee is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Brokador to escape.

No, Brokador has escaped the position, nice work there. The strikes coming from McGee are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGee creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Brokador sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. McGee working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. McGee goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Brokador rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McGee's guard! Nice work there by Brokador! Brokador must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. McGee looking for a sweep. Not yet McGee, not yet.

McGee looking for submissions off his back. McGee works his way to full guard. Good work. McGee throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Fidalgo Brokador has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Big McGee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. McGee is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that's the end of the fight! Big McGee showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McGee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
