Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy McDonald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Young!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young misses with a body shot
and McDonald counters with a nice body shot.
A shot to the liver by Young. Beautiful body shot.
Young tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Young just misses with a punch to the body.
Young avoids the body shot from McDonald.
Young swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Young misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Young on the wrong end of a nice hook.

McDonald has a takedown stuffed.
Young throws a jab when McDonald was well out of range.

Young fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McDonald manages to avoid it.
Young swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McDonald cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McDonald shoots and misses
and Young counters with a head kick. That will keep McDonald thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Young misses with a series of wild punches.
McDonald closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Patrick Young is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

McDonald fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Young to the ground. McDonald is now in Young's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

McDonald drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McDonald jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McDonald won't allow Young to get back to his feet.
McDonald slips nicely into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Young kicks off McDonald and gets to his feet.
Young dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Young on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

McDonald shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Young's guard.
McDonald stops Young from standing up.
McDonald works over Young with some ground and pound from guard.
Young is wriggling around but McDonald manages to pass to half guard.
Young keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Young really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McDonald. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McDonald prevents Young from standing back up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

McDonald passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Young!
McDonald lands a big shot there that rocks Young but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McDonald wants to control the pace but Young is squirming around nicely.
McDonald scores with a couple of good head shots there.

McDonald has hold of Young's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Young manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McDonald has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Young wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! McDonald has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Young taps furiously! This one is all over!
