Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Pal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcin Pal! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson has his takedown stuffed and Pal counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pal wants to pass the guard but Johnson is defending well. Johnson trying to hold on to Pal's head to control him but Pal postures up.

Pal content to control rather than advance. Johnson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Pal postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Johnson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.
Pal has a closed guard, preventing Johnson from standing up. Johnson pushing down on Pal's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pal is defended easily by Johnson. Pal fails with the takedown and Johnson counters with a takedown into side control. Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Johnson is breathing heavily. Pal is trying to get back to half guard. Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Pal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pal is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Pal is not content to let Johnson control the position. Pal is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Johnson off and has taken his back! Johnson is trying to remain composed but Pal is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Pal really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Johnson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pal is landing with strikes from the back. Pal trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Johnson doesn't escape. Pal has the hooks in. Johnson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Pal lands an elbow to the side of the head. Johnson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Pal's guard. Nice work there by Johnson.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Johnson will probably get the nod. That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Pal, before circling back to the center of the mat. Johnson shoots and misses and Pal counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Pal lands with a punch from half guard. Pal controlling the pace. Pal works his way into full mount! Johnson is working to get back to half guard.

Pal working Johnson over with strikes here. Pal lands with some strikes. Pal lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Johnson taking shots to the head. Johnson is looking to improve his position but Pal isn't that keen on the idea. Pal landing strikes, looking to finish! Pal cracks Johnson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Pal lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pal scoring with strikes but Johnson is staying in there. Pal postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Johnson looks a forlorn figure.

Johnson regains half guard. Pal controlling the pace. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pal connects with a nice short shot to Johnson's temple. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Pal winds up and cracks Johnson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Pal lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Pal seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Johnson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pal scores with a couple of nice shots. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pal lands a nice short elbow. Pal with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Johnson wants to improve his position but Pal is controlling well.

Marcin Pal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Pal must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pal has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted. Johnson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pal! Johnson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pal is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pal and Johnson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pal closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Johnson to the mat! Johnson manages to get full guard. Johnson wants to sweep but no luck. Pal tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pal controls from within his opponent's guard. Pal advances position into side control! Pal lands a few punches from side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Johnson taking punishment in the form of punches.
Pal takes a little break here. Johnson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Check out the look on Pal's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
And that's the end of the fight! Marcin Pal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Pal has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
