Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teppo Raju (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Hjelte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hjelte has chosen Ride of Valkyries as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raju walks into a stiff left hand from Hjelte.
David Hjelte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raju shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hjelte pinned against the cage. Hjelte gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Raju drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hjelte looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hjelte looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hjelte!

Raju is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Hjelte pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Raju feints and as Hjelte raises his hands in defense, Raju changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hjelte really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Raju. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
