Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ron Mexico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Weeks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mexico comes into the arena with I want war blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Mexico! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Weeks! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weeks moves out of range as Mexico strikes. Mexico looks to land a right hand but Weeks moved out of range. Mexico lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Weeks at a distance.
Weeks slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Weeks drops his hands momentarily and Mexico takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. A leg kick checked by Mexico. Mexico looks to score with a jab to the body but Weeks is just out of range. Mexico swings widly with a right hand
and Weeks counters with a straight right hand. Weeks fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mexico looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Weeks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Weeks misses with a wild body shot. Mexico waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Weeks. Weeks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Weeks's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mexico connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Weeks scrambles back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mexico uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Weeks. A looping hook to the body misses from Weeks. Mexico does a little dance to reset his feet. Mexico missing with a left hand there. Weeks was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Weeks swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mexico counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Billy Weeks has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weeks doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mexico counters with a lovely straight right hand! No joy there for Weeks, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mexico scores with a three punch combo!
Mexico lands a jab to the nose. Mexico missing with a left hand there. Weeks was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mexico misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Weeks.
Mexico moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Weeks displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mexico throws out the jab. Mexico shoots in looking for a takedown. Weeks tries to sprawl out of it but Mexico keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Weeks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mexico ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Weeks moves away. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Weeks.
Weeks gets a takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Weeks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mexico keeps working. Weeks stalling away here and it's allowed Mexico to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Weeks tries to free his leg and advance position but Mexico is retaining full guard. Weeks trying to control but Mexico is working from the bottom. Mexico is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Weeks throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mexico has his hands on Weeks's head, controlling the position. Mexico controls Weeks momentarily but Weeks frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mexico controlling the position. Weeks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mexico looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Weeks throws a leg kick but Mexico sees it coming and checks it nicely. A combination from Mexico does no damage. Nice shot lands for Weeks. Mexico misses with a hook. Weeks ducked under it nicely. Weeks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Weeks throws a head kick but Mexico moves out of range.
Weeks punishes Mexico's body with a nice straight punch. Mexico avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Weeks feints a jab promting Mexico to slip. Weeks then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mexico slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Weeks throws a sloppy head kick and Mexico moves out of range easily. Weeks defending well as Mexico loads up on a big left hand. Weeks takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mexico slips a jab from Weeks. Mexico throws a poor cross that misses
and Weeks counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Weeks misses with a two punch combination.
Weeks fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mexico closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mexico throws an overhand right that lands on Weeks's shoulder, as Weeks tries to avoid the shot. Weeks slips under a jab. Weeks throws a right and a left that both miss. Mexico fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Weeks sprawls well initially but Mexico persists and gets the takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ron Mexico will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Billy Weeks's cut. That's time! Mexico's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mexico thuds his right hand into Weeks's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Weeks moves away from the strike by Mexico. Mexico throws the left hand but Weeks avoids the punch easily. Weeks fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Weeks scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Mexico thows a body shot but no joy. Weeks lands with a slapping head kick. Weeks looks to land a combination but Mexico avoids it well. Mexico thows a body shot but no joy. Mexico comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Mexico digs a good body shot into Weeks's ribs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mexico throws a big shot that misses. A punch combination from Weeks misses. Mexico avoids the body shot from Weeks.
Weeks clinches up with Mexico and pushes him back against the cage.

Mexico manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Weeks is fighting to break Mexico's control of his arms but Mexico is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Mexico preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Weeks scoring with some ground and pound. Mexico is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Weeks is looking to control Mexico's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Weeks avoid being mounted? Mexico seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mexico connects with a nice short shot to Weeks's temple. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Weeks wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Weeks has hold of Mexico's hands but Mexico slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mexico sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Weeks defending well though. Mexico has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mexico thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Weeks's head. Mexico thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Weeks to regain full guard. Weeks trying to keep a closed guard but Mexico is proving a slippery customer.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Weeks is staying active underneath Mexico, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mexico winds up and cracks Weeks with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Weeks won't allow Mexico to pass to mount. Weeks is refusing to be controlled, as Mexico sits in half guard. Mexico is really struggling to control Weeks but he's trying to hold on to the position. Mexico not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ron Mexico overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Weeks wants to improve his position but Mexico is controlling well.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mexico accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Weeks looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that's the end of the fight! Ron Mexico showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mexico, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
