Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Klatchen!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klatchen throws a sloppy head kick

and Barker counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Barker is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Klatchen is staying active underneath Barker, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Barker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Barker thows a huge punch but Klatchen dodges it nicely.

Barker wants to work for an arm triangle but Klatchen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Barker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Klatchen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Klatchen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Barker is controlling him.
Barker throws and elbow that misses. Klatchen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Barker's guard. Nice move by Klatchen!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Klatchen is breathing heavily.

Barker is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Barker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Klatchen defends it easily.

Klatchen wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Barker's closed guard. He's half up but Barker has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Barker pivots and extends the arm, Klatchen falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Barker! Well done that man!
