The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson thows a body shot but no joy.
Rodrigo Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Machida looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well.
Johnson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Machida sprawls well initially but Johnson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Johnson postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Machida badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Johnson around the waist but Johnson pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Johnson is the winner by TKO! Johnson jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
