Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rinkatodokuta Mikakochishimo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Edwax Mags! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mikakochishimo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mags was covering up waiting for the punch and Mikakochishimo finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mags looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Mikakochishimo trying to control the position from guard on top but Mags is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mags wants to stand up but Mikakochishimo is controlling him. Mikakochishimo tries to stand but Mags is controlling from the bottom. Mags wriggles free and stands up. Mikakochishimo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mags is trying to drag Mikakochishimo to the mat but Mikakochishimo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Mikakochishimo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Mikakochishimo wants to control but Mags is keeping him busy. Mikakochishimo wants to stand but Mags has his arm trapped.

Mikakochishimo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mags is not content to let Mikakochishimo control the position. Mags is trying to control Mikakochishimo's posture but Mikakochishimo avoids it. Mikakochishimo is looking to take a break and control but Mags is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mikakochishimo tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mikakochishimo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Mikakochishimo trying to control the action but Mags is working from the bottom. Mikakochishimo scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Mags to see if he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mikakochishimo working the strikes but Mags uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Mikakochishimo trying to control the action but Mags is working from the bottom. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mikakochishimo lands a nice short elbow. Mikakochishimo seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Oh, that's bad for Mags! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mikakochishimo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Mikakochishimo with shots to the head and body - Mags looks very uncomfortable down there. Mikakochishimo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mags on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mikakochishimo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Mikakochishimo wants to control the pace but Mags is squirming around nicely. Mikakochishimo is landing with some decent strikes but Mags is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. We're going to have a standup here because Rinkatodokuta Mikakochishimo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Mikakochishimo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mags sprawls well initially but Mikakochishimo persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Mikakochishimo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mags takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Mikakochishimo tries to control but Mags wriggling away. Mikakochishimo raining down shots from the mount! Mikakochishimo wants to control the pace but Mags is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mikakochishimo has hold of Mags's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mags manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mikakochishimo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mags can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Mags wants to hold on but Mikakochishimo pushes him away. Edwax Mags has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rinkatodokuta Mikakochishimo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Mikakochishimo trying to control but Mags is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Rinkatodokuta Mikakochishimo showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mikakochishimo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
