PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Beastman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuhaku Todoh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, The Beastman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryuhaku Todoh!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Todoh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Beastman is fending him off so far but Todoh persists. Nope, Beastman circles away and we're back to standing.
Todoh fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Todoh throws a sloppy head kick and Beastman moves out of range easily.
Beastman misses with a body shot.
A right-left combo lands from Todoh.
Todoh throws a head kick that Beastman semi-blocks.
Beastman rushes Todoh and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Beastman has hold of one of Todoh's legs. Todoh is fighting the takedown attempt but Beastman gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Beastman distracts Todoh with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Beastman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Beastman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Beastman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Todoh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beastman has managed to get both his arms back between Todoh's legs - danger averted.
Todoh looks gassed!
Beastman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Todoh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Beastman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Todoh looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Beastman is in close to Todoh's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Beastman landing with the ground and pound.
Todoh is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Beastman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Todoh is still in real trouble! Can Beastman finish him?
Beastman arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Todoh's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). The Beastman!
