The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BALA tries to close the distance and clinch but Hughes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
BALA shoots in but no luck this time.
Hughes scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hughes darts in and clinches BALA up against the cage.
Hughes breaks from the clinch.
Hughes misses with a double jab.
Georges Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hughes manages to break the clinch.
Hughes closes the distance and clinches.
Hughes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hughes moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Hughes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
BALA fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
BALA is breathing heavily.
Hughes closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Oh BALA is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hughes drops BALA with a straight right hand, right on the button! Hughes follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
