Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Decan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alaric Visigoth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Visigoth has chosen THUNDERSTRUCK as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mark Decan had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Visigoth sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Visigoth shoots in and drives through. Decan sprawls well.
Decan throws a wild body kick that Visigoth sees coming a mile off.
Decan tries to bum rush Visigoth with a series of wild strikes but Visigoth uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Visigoth moves out of range of the body kick.
Decan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Decan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Visigoth slips a jab and a cross from Decan.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Decan throws a shot from downtown. Visigoth moves away and avoids it.
Decan attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Decan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Visigoth moves out of range of the strikes.
No joy there for Decan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Visigoth gets a double leg takedown into Decan's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Decan is looking to stand up but Visigoth isn't so interested in that idea.

Decan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Visigoth off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Visigoth closes the distance and clinches up with Decan, looking for a takedown. Visigoth pushes Decan against the cage but Decan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Visigoth changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Decan tries to avoid it but Visigoth manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Decan to the ground. Decan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Decan will probably get the nod.

Decan's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Visigoth cracks Decan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
