Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dvon Jason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tj Stuber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dvon Jason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tj Stuber!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jason fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jason closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stuber circles away.

Jason drives through and clinches with Stuber against the cage.

Stuber jumps into guard, dragging Jason to the mat.

Stuber has an active guard here but Jason has managed to pass into half guard.
Jason not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Jason is tying to control. Stuber wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Jason is stalling here. Stuber is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jason seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Stuber has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Stuber goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jason has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Stuber but great work by Jason.

Jason is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stuber has escaped the position, nice work there.
Stuber wants to control but Jason postures up.
Jason wants to stand but Stuber has his arm trapped.
Stuber is looking to regain half guard here but Jason keeps moving and retains side control.
Stuber is not content to let Jason control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stuber wants to control but Jason postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Stuber stuffs the takedown.

Jason shoots in looking for a takedown. Stuber tries to sprawl out of it but Jason keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stuber manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dvon Jason seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stuber is looking for a triangle but Jason pushes his legs off easily.

Jason throws and elbow that misses. Stuber uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jason's guard. Nice move by Stuber!

Stuber wants to control from the top but Jason keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Dvon Jason will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jason looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stuber is fending him off so far but Jason persists. Nope, Stuber circles away and we're back to standing.

Jason is staying active underneath Stuber, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Stuber looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Stuber is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Jason has managed to free his arm - good work.

Stuber is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Stuber landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Stuber trying to control the action but Jason is working from the bottom.

Stuber is looking for a kimura but Jason is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stuber to get the leverage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Stuber is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jason doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stuber.
Jason makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jason.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stuber content to stall in guard here.
Jason looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Stuber puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tj Stuber showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Jason tries to buck Stuber off but Stuber is having none of it.

Stuber is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jason is trying to keep Stuber in close.
Tj Stuber has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stuber is fighting to break Jason's control of his arms but Jason is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Jason is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jason throws a lazy right hand but Stuber sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tj Stuber comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stuber has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
