Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Gurakovskiy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksandr Gurakovskiy! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Patrick Tate! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tate avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Aleksandr Gurakovskiy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gurakovskiy misses the jab. Tate tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gurakovskiy swivels and escapes. Gurakovskiy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tate moves away. Some wild striking there from Gurakovskiy.

Gurakovskiy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tate moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gurakovskiy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tate sees it coming and avoids it easily. Gurakovskiy throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gurakovskiy takes a body punch but keeps moving. Tate keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tate defending well as Gurakovskiy loads up on a big left hand. Tate closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Gurakovskiy is looking to improve his position but Tate isn't that keen on the idea. Tate lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Tate looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tate working Gurakovskiy over with strikes here. Gurakovskiy is squirming around, avoiding Tate's attempts to control the action.

Tate has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gurakovskiy's face.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tate unloading with bombs! Tate manages to capitalize on a mistake by Gurakovskiy to take his back! Tate lands punches and elbows. Tate lands a shot to the body. Gurakovskiy is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Tate looking for the choke but no joy. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tate is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Gurakovskiy is defending well though. Tate let's go of the attempt for now. That's four minutes gone in the round. Tate is riding his opponent, not letting Gurakovskiy buck him off. Tate wants to control but Gurakovskiy manages to buck him off and is now in Tate's guard! Nice work there by Gurakovskiy! Tate controls Gurakovskiy momentarily but Gurakovskiy frees himself. Gurakovskiy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tate looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tate had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gurakovskiy defends it easily. Tate has his foot on Gurakovskiy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gurakovskiy works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tate slips under a jab from Gurakovskiy. Gurakovskiy moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Gurakovskiy throws a hook but Tate blocks it. A jab from Gurakovskiy misses. Gurakovskiy tries to bum rush Tate with a series of wild strikes but Tate uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gurakovskiy misses with a right hand and Tate counters with a stiff right hand. Gurakovskiy looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Crunch! Tate slams his shin into Gurakovskiy's torso. Gurakovskiy misses with a two punch combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gurakovskiy is looking to score with low kicks. Tate throws a nice outside leg kick. Gurakovskiy gets cracked there but stands up to it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tate gets in close and instigates a clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tate gets through Gurakovskiy's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
It looks like Aleksandr Gurakovskiy has been cut. Tate pushes Gurakovskiy back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. A knee to the head by Tate.
Tate has clasped his hands together around Gurakovskiy's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Tate looks up at the clock and then as Gurakovskiy takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tate smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tate wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gurakovskiy keeps working. Tate has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A lull in the action here. Tate tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tate has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Tate is putting a hurting on Gurakovskiy here, landing some big shots from side control. Tate is trying to get an arm triangle but Gurakovskiy is defending well. Gurakovskiy takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Tate is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gurakovskiy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
