Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Rizal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricky Romero had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Romero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Rizal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rizal moves into the clinch successfully.
Romero controlling the action here for a moment.

Rizal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Romero moves to clinch but Rizal breaks away

and Rizal counters with a shoot takedown. Romero fights it but they end up in guard.
Rizal trying to stand up but can't free himself from Romero's guard.

Rizal misses with a head shot. Romero uses the momentum to regain guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Romero is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Rizal's shoulder. That is not cool.

Romero controls from within his opponent's guard.
Romero seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rizal for as long as he can get away with.

Romero has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ricky Romero.

Rizal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Romero was covering up waiting for the punch and Rizal finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Rizal has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Romero is proving hard to escape from.

Rizal bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Romero's guard.

Jose Rizal is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Romero wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Jose Rizal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rizal has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
