Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Dillan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Ridgeley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dillan comes to the cage accompanied by Kick Ass. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Dillan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Ridgeley!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillan swings for the body but Ridgeley moves out of range.
Dillan misses with a few strikes there.
Dillan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ridgeley.


It looks like Andrew Ridgeley has been cut.
A head kick misses from Ridgeley.
Ridgeley loads up on a big right hand but Dillan slips the punch.
Dillan misses with a straight right.
Dillan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dillan tries to bum rush Ridgeley with a series of wild strikes but Ridgeley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dillan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Dillan takes a swing at Ridgeley's ribcage but misses.

Dillan pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Dillan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dillan checks the leg kick.
Max Dillan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ridgeley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dillan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dillan fails to land the takedown.
Dillan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ridgeley circles away quickly and effectively.
A combination from Dillan does no damage.

Dillan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ridgeley.
Ridgeley looks to land a left hand but Dillan moved out of range nicely.
Ridgeley looks to land a combination but Dillan avoids it well.
A head kick from Ridgeley lands but Dillan takes it in his stride.
Nice uppercut there from Dillan.
Nice defenses there by Dillan.
Ridgeley feints and then cracks Dillan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dillan down.
Dillan throws a big shot that misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dillan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ridgeley lands a two punch combo.
Ridgeley slips under a jab.
Ridgeley scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ridgeley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dillan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dillan lands with a good body shot.
Ridgeley slips under a jab.
Dillan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Ridgeley tests Dillan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ridgeley misses with a looping left.
Dillan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dillan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ridgeley counters with a straight right hand.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dillan misses with a lunging right hand
and Ridgeley counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Dillan dodges the punch combination from Ridgeley.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Max Dillan will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Ridgeley throws a hook but Dillan blocks it.
Ridgeley keeps the fight on the outside.
Dillan misses with a two punch combination.
Ridgeley slips a jab from Dillan.
Dillan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ridgeley.

Dillan throws a nice looking combination but Ridgeley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dillan misses with an uppercut
and Ridgeley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Ridgeley scores with a jab to the jaw.
Dillan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ridgeley looks to land a combination. Dillan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Ridgeley just misses with a punch to the body.
Dillan staying out of range there.
Nice takedown defense from Ridgeley. No joy for Dillan on that attempt.

Dillan gets a double leg takedown into Ridgeley's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Dillan is in close to Ridgeley's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Dillan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Ridgeley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dillan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dillan is looking to work some ground and pound but Ridgeley has wrist control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ridgeley wants to stand but Dillan is controlling the position.
Dillan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Dillan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ridgeley trying to keep a closed guard but Dillan is proving a slippery customer.

Dillan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Dillan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Dillan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Dillan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dillan passes Ridgeley's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Dillan scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Ridgeley lands a nice shot that snaps Dillan's head back.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ridgeley. Dillan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dillan moves out of range as Ridgeley strikes.
Ridgeley misses with an uppercut.
Ridgeley keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dillan.
Ridgeley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dillan ducks right into an uppercut from Ridgeley.
Dillan misses with a few strikes there.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Dillan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dillan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Dillan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Dillan slips a nice elbow through Ridgeley's hands, connecting with Ridgeley's forehead.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dillan passes to side control.
Dillan landing strikes.
Ridgeley is not in a great position here, taking some shots.


Ridgeley is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dillan has hold of Ridgeley's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ridgeley seems comfortable defending it but Dillan has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ridgeley is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ridgeley is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Dillan couldn't care less - he's delighted!
