Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Serj Tankian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Redknack Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Bob's choice of entrance music: Momma said knock you out. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tankian fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bob drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bob taking a breather here. Bob is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tankian is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bob is looking to take a break and control but Tankian is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bob thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Bob is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tankian knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tankian controls the position for a moment. Tankian regains half guard. Tankian is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Bob jumps into side control! Bob has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Tankian blocks a jab. Tankian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bob swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bob fails with the takedown. Tankian is looking to clinch but Bob is avoiding it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Tankian keeping moving, preventing Bob from controlling successfully. Bob advances position into side control! Bob tries to move into full mount but can't pass Tankian's legs. Bob is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tankian knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Tankian is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bob thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Bob wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tankian keeps working. Tankian holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Tankian is not content to let Bob control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Redknack Bob dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Tankian has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bob gets through Tankian's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Bob has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tankian avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tankian wants a takedown.
Tankian escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tankian throws a series of punches but Bob moves out of range. Bob lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bob. Bob avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bob looks to land a right hand but Tankian moved out of range. Bob misses with an uppercut. Tankian throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tankian tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A nice leg kick lands there from Bob. Serj Tankian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bob shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Tankian tries to reverse the position but Bob maintains control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Tankian tries to clinch up. Bob avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bob gets a clinch. Still in the clinch, Bob scores with a nice short uppercut. Bob breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bob cracks the inside of Tankian's front leg. Tankian shoots in for a double leg but Bob sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tankian wants to clinch but Bob slips to the side and Bob counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tankian won't be happy with that. Bob tries for a kimura but Tankian is defending well. Tankian is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bob is looking to take a break and control but Tankian is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tankian tries to improve position but can't. Tankian sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Tankian is trying to stand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tankian is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tankian clinches up against the cage.

Bob wants to pass the guard but Tankian is keeping the position. Tankian keeping moving, preventing Bob from controlling successfully. Bob postures up.
Bob wants to control from the top but Tankian keeps moving. Bob controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tankian is keeping the position for now. Bob is stalling in the full guard. Tankian keeping moving, preventing Bob from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tankian moves in looking to clinch but Bob pushes him off. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tankian tries to clinch up and Bob counters with a shoot takedown. Tankian fights it but they end up in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Redknack Bob showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Tankian's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Tankian darts in trying to clinch and Bob counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bob closes the distance and clinches. Bob lands with a light punch inside. Bob connects with a knee to the head.
Tankian can't break the clinch.

Bob scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Bob rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tankian moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tankian closes the distance looking to clinch and Bob counters by moving into the clinch. Tankian tries to land a knee to the head but Bob blocks with his arms.
Bob drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tankian pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tankian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob misses with an uppercut. Tankian saw that one coming. Bob clinches with his opponent.
Tankian connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bob's face.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. A nice right hand lands inside from Bob. Bob escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Serj Tankian is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bob is looking to chop away at Tankian's legs. Bob has taken the fight to the clinch.

Tankian has had enough of the clinch but Bob keeps him there for the moment. Tankian misses with a knee strike.
Bob lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Bob has Tankian pushed against the cage. Bob breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bob instigates a clinch. Bob manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tankian darts in trying to clinch and Bob counters with a left to the body. Bob rushes Tankian and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tankian looking to throw knees to the head but Bob is blocking nicely.
Bob prevents a takedown attempt there.
Tankian is pressed up against the cage. Bob has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tankian down to the mat. Tankian avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Tankian tries to clinch but fails miserably and Bob counters with a left to the body. Tankian closes the distance looking to clinch and Bob counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tankian! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tankian wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob prevents Tankian from getting the reversal. Bob working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bob avoids the attempt from Tankian to control. Bob is working for a guillotine from mount but Tankian frees his head quite easily.
Bob is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tankian is surviving well by controlling Bob's body position as best he can. Bob trying to control but he's not successful this time. Serj Tankian has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Tankian taking shots to the head. Redknack Bob has got the better of the ground game so far. Bob swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Tankian is now in Bob's guard. A big mistake from Bob there, giving up the dominant position! Tankian stopping the sweep attempt from Bob. Tankian wants to stand but Bob has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bob pulls Tankian in close to his closed guard and prevents Tankian from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that's the end of the fight! Redknack Bob comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bob has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
