Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri Morozov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rusty LaRue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morozov darts in and clinches LaRue up against the cage.
Morozov is fighting off a takedown attempt but LaRue is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Morozov to the mat. Morozov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
LaRue stops Morozov from standing up.
Morozov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
LaRue really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morozov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Morozov looking for a sweep. Not yet Morozov, not yet.
Morozov throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
LaRue tries to stand but Morozov is controlling from the bottom.

LaRue throws an elbow but Morozov slips to the side and avoids it well.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
LaRue shoots in for a takedown but Morozov shows good takedown defense.
Morozov forces LaRue back against the cage and clinches.
LaRue misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Morozov.
LaRue tries to score a body lock takedown but Morozov shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Morozov is fighting off a takedown attempt but LaRue is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Morozov to the mat. Morozov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morozov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Morozov has gone for a leg lock! LaRue slips out almost immediately though and dives into Morozov's guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
LaRue closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Morozov is staying active underneath LaRue, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
LaRue frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Morozov swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morozov holds on, trying desperately to control.

LaRue seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Morozov is holding on tight.

and LaRue counters with a nice leg kick.
LaRue fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

LaRue fails with an attempt to clinch.
Morozov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
LaRue tries to buck Morozov off but Morozov is having none of it.

Morozov wants to lay and pray for a moment but LaRue keeps working.

LaRue takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and LaRue counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by LaRue.

Morozov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. LaRue swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Morozov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
LaRue avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dimitri Morozov will probably get the nod.

Morozov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. LaRue manages to get himself to full guard.

Morozov stands and throws LaRue's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Morozov decides to stand back up.
Morozov has managed to clinch.
Morozov jumps guard but LaRue stands there with Morozov around his waist. Morozov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
LaRue tries to pull guard but Morozov holds him up against the cage and eventually LaRue drops back down to his feet.

LaRue drops down looking for an ankle pick but Morozov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Morozov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

LaRue darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Morozov is not content to let LaRue control the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. LaRue connects with a nice short shot to Morozov's temple.
Morozov pushes LaRue off looking to stand but LaRue dives back in and keeps control.
LaRue thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
LaRue seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Morozov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

LaRue is trying to work for a kimura but Morozov is defending well.
LaRue is looking to take a break and control but Morozov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

and Morozov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dimitri Morozov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rusty LaRue.
Morozov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Morozov has LaRue pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. LaRue manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Morozov is controlling LaRue's position as best he can from this difficult position.

I would just about give that final round to Rusty LaRue.
I think LaRue has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
