The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ismail looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Ismail misses the target.
Ismail tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Lei counters with a head kick that drops Ismail to the mat! Ismail scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Nice sprawl there from Lei as Ismail shoots in.
Lei catches Ismail with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Ismail is rocked!
It looks like Wallid Ismail has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lei looks to throw the jab but Ismail is out of range.
Ismail throws out a leg kick but Lei moves out of range and Ismail only half commits.
Ismail sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Ismail fails to land the takedown.
Wand Lei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wallid Ismail.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lei lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ismail looks gassed!
Ismail fails with a takedown attempt.
Lei lands a big head kick that sends Ismail to the canvas! Lei follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
