Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Rick Carter has been cut.

Carter scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Crunch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Crunch tries to get out of the position.

Carter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Crunch is just riding it out for now. Carter eventually gives up the hold.

Carter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carter has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Carter stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Carter takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Crunch is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Carter showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Crunch.
Crunch lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Carter looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Crunch cracks Carter with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Crunch has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Carter to stand back up!

Carter is rocked!
Crunch shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Carter takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Crunch sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Carter bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
